April Lockhart
April Lockhart (born July 4 April, 1995) began her musical journey in the 7th grade when she took piano and guitar classes. At the age of 12 April wrote her first song Different. When she was 14 April spent a lot of her time to singing and writing songs. Soon, April began going across NY and LA together with her father so that they could both to write songs. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" for some of acquaintances who faced issues such as peer pressurization problems, as well as teenage suicide. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer with an ever-growing following. She works with popular brand Ilia in partnership, as well as being a lifestyle expert. Since she was born without a left hand, the woman is an important part of her. It's however not her entire story. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not conceal her being disabled and does not focus on it. The profile is a statement. We all have multiple aspects that our identities are complex and that we're much more than our physical selves. Lockhart said via video that she doesn't wish to be defined solely by her physical disability. She does not want to become an advocate for disabled people who only speaks about it. There are a variety of aspects to Lockhart. My day-today life is not dependent on it. I lead a normal daily life, and come up with my own solutions to issues. It's also a part of my life, and I think it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is a true inspiration in this regard. Lockhart admits to having had periods where she felt insecure about the way she dressed and displayed her arms. She dresses according to her preferences and proudly posts pictures of herself in the outfits she wears on social platforms. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not certain that you ever arrive she says about self-love. It's a journey, I'm sure that you never arrive. I think that having people around you who really are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people that remind you of what are you worrying about?
