Prior to beginning her acting career, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers a French show on TV that focuses on talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the The award for the Best Young Actress in her performance in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. While she attended in the Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has stayed away from her religious upbringing and has stated she's not Catholic. She pursued a modelling career along with her acting career. She is the model for L'Oreal Mont Blanc and Chanel often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom as well as international recognition with her debut role in the role of Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was recognized internationally due to its success at the box office. The film was also recognized during awards ceremonies around the world.
